Coat Hanger Antenna is the first release from the Ft. Worth Americana/ rock band Barrel Delux. The EP is packed with intricate acoustic and electric guitar work and laced with haunting harmonica. The driving and subtle rhythm section provide a rock solid stage for these 6 songs to play out on. The songs take the listener through dusty fields and cruises with one eye closed right on through Davis county with a bottle of Whisky in hand. The EP boasts one of the prettiest heartfelt numbers on the Indian Casino roster with the reflecting number - Last Time. The 6 song gem comes to a rolling stop and drops the listener off at the Church of Christ on Sunday with the collection plate in hand as Mike Bandy's southern croon and snake handlin' guitar work hold sermon on the closer - Potluck Last Supper. As with most journeys, the real treat with Coat Hanger Antenna is not getting to the destination but being along for the ride.
