Bad Omens is an American metal band formed in 2015 in Richmond, Virginia by vocalist and producer Noah Sebastian, (then) guitarist Nicholas Ruffilo and bassist Vincent Riquier. The current lineup of the band includes: Noah Sebastian (lead vocals, programming), Nicholas Ruffilo (bass, backing vocals), Joakim Karlsson (lead guitar, programming, backing vocals and rhythm guitar) and Nick Folio (drums and percussions). History The first idea to form the band came in 2013 when Noah Sebastian, then guitarist of a Washington D.C.-based band named Immoralist, began writing lyrics. Therefore in 2014 he departed the band and in the subsequent year he contacted his old friend Nicholas Ruffilo to start his new project, later involving bassist Vincent Riquier, who introduced him to another friend, Joakim "Jolly" Karlsson. The band put out an untitled demo EP containing rough versions of their debut album tracks, which caught the eye of Sumerian Records. The EP was good enough for Sumerian to recommend taking most of the tracks and putting them on a full-length. The first name adopted by the band was "CHLDRN", and "Bad Omens" was originally supposed to be the title of one of their early songs. Ash Avildsen, founder of Sumerian Records, suggested the band to change the name to Bad Omens and so they picked another name for the song, which became the hit Glass Houses. The band realeased its first self-titled EP Bad Omens on August 19, 2016 with Sumerian Records. Bad Omens' rising fame
