BADVILLAIN (Hangul: 배드빌런; Katakana: バドビライン) is a South Korean girl group under BPM Entertainment. The group is composed of 7 members: EMMA (엠마), CHLOE YOUNG (클로이영), HU'E (휴이), INA (이나), YUNSEO (윤서), VIN (빈) and KELLY (켈리). They debuted on June 3, 2024 with the release of their eponymous debut track from their debut single album OVERSTEP. Name meaning:"BADVILLAIN" is a compound word of "BAD" and "VILLAIN". "Bad" is an abbreviation for "Be Aggressive for Desire", while "Villain" refers here as a person who moves only for one's goal. The name expresses the power and energy they have, and contains the meaning of the children who made the best choice for me. Alternatively shorten as BV (Born to be Visionary), it means being born with infinite possibilities and a new vision and adds the meaning of a new hero on stage who pursues dreams and goals. On June 24, the group announced that they will be releasing the special single "HURRICANE" later that day. On November 11, they released a trailer film for "ZOOM", set for release on November 19. On March 13, the ONE HUNDRED founder responded to a fan message on his Instagram account that BADVILLAIN comeback. On August 21, an article was published on NAVER, where they reported that BADVILLAIN comeback with a new album in September.
