Atoosa Grey is a singer-songwriter based out of New York City, and has released three full length albums and one EP to date. Her first EP “Out of the Jar” in 1999, was quickly followed up with “Sound Travels Up” in 2000. It would be another six years before “Night of the Deep Bloom” would be released. Her latest CD, "When the Cardinals Come," was released in May 2009. Each release has met with much critical praise. Her sound takes a lot of influence from the folk genre, with exceptionally styled and crafted lyrics and generally sparse instrumentation. This instrumentation often centers around either a piano (she’s classically trained) or a guitar (self-taught).
