ARES INWORDS is a metalcore band hailing from Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture. The band's lineup includes frontman and vocalist Kanda, guitarist and composer AKI, and bassist TAIKI. Former members are guitarist RiQ and drummer Louie (γ«γ€). The band came together in 2014 during their time in the high school's light music club in Chigasaki City. The initial members were Kanda, TAIKI, RiQ, and KIRA. When KIRA chose a different path, his older brother Louie became the band's drummer. AKI, who also were in the same light music club, joined later since he got along so well with the band. The band started by playing covers of songs by Green Day and ONE OK ROCK. Their earliest release available on Spotify is the single "Light and Darkness," which came out on August 3, 2018. Following that, they released the EP "Balancer" on March 21, 2020. ARES INWORDS is known for their powerful live performances, characterized by a deep and emotive sound achieved through drop C# tuning. Despite the challenging pandemic that made live performances difficult, they remained committed to creating music. On April 19, 2021, they released the single "Waterfalls," a collaborative effort with Koshiken from FOAD. The song draws a parallel between the flow of water and the passage of time and people.
