April's Love Affair

Mall emo/post hardcore/screamo from Shreveport, LA. Formed in 2003, by Ryan Veuthey (vocals), Jason Campisi (bass), Christopher Kichler (guitar), Will Hughes (drums) - having Spencer Bailey (guitar) joining some time in June 2003. Influences for the bands sound were: Thursday Glassjaw Alexisonfire (as stated by band member Spencer Bailey's Spotify playlist). The first band project that the original bandmembers had (excluding Spencer Bailey), was named Glitter black. It had started in 2000 and a demo as well as a full length album was recorded. The full length was called "Waiting to be Reborn". After the founding of the band April's Love Affair in 2003, they released their Self-Titled EP "April's Love Affair" on May 15th 2004 and in the year thereafter, Jason had left, with Joel Reynolds replacing him and helping write and form "The Manner In Which I Scream Goodbye" EP on 13/5/2005. On 10/28/2005 "April's Love Affair" had played together with "Mindless Self Indulgence" at 516 Soundstage. In 2006, Joel and Spencer left, with Dave and Daniel taking their place. As a promotional piece of media for their last show in 2007, they have recorded 2 songs - Beautiful Things Are Better Left Dead, acoustic and an unreleased song which is also acoustic. After the disbanding in 2006, in 2007, Ryan Veuthey was the vocalist for Porcelain Arms and helped produce their EP "The comfort of... Porcelain Arms". There was a reunion in 6/8/2011.
