Born in Tehran, studied playing the cello and composition under such musicians as Nasser Nazar, Mohsen Tooyserkani, Abbas Zahireddini, Plus Khofri, Davud Ja'ffari Omid and Shahrokh Khajehnouri. He has received his Masters of Arts in Composition from the Open University of Tehran in 2004. As a cello player he acted in the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Tehran and the Niavaran Orchestra (conducted by Thomas Christian David), maister in Tehran Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by Sharif Lotfi) and the National Iranian Orchestra (conducted by Farhad Fakhreddini). His musical career as a composer got boosted through Theater. He has written numerous scores for theater acts, fiction as well as documentary film and recognized by many awards in which the most imprtant ones were The Eighth Adventure (Arvand Dashtarai) from the 21st International Fajr Theater Festival (Tehran, 2003), Devil's Ship (Atila Pesyani) performed at the International Edinburgh Festival (2008) and Metabolic (Atila Pesyani) from the 27th International Fajr Theater Festival (Tehran, 2008) User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
