A rare gem emerging from the Singapore techno scene, Angela Flame has been firing up dancefloors since her first foray into the dj world at the end of the 90s. From her early days at local techno haunts Area 22, Liquid Room and “Sessions” nights at Zouk, Angela went on to play all over Asia and Australia, but it was her big move to Berlin in 2001 that her profile skyrocketed at a furious pace. With her sights put forward, she went on to bigger and better things, playing clubs and festivals all over Europe, including the legendary Tresor Club and the massive Love Parade in Berlin, djing along side the world’s biggest international djs, and headlining her own gigs as well. Angela’s unique blend fuses Eastern cultured soul to the sound of the Western lock grooves. Her turntable artistry has evolved into a groovy and disco-ish techno, with a hard twist of funk, causing serious wreckage on the dance floor with every spin. Ever moving forward in her musical career, Angela moved into the world of production and released her first ever track “Fire Walk With Me”, off an EP on Asian Dynasty imprint, which was picked up and featured on BBC Radio One’s “Bleeze Block” program! Subsequently, Angela scored with several more releases and remixes on AsianDynasty Records (Japan) and Klirfator Records (Holland), and went on to start her very own Autofokus Music project, plus her very own label of the same name.
