Milwaukee has very little history in recorded music. One shining example is the internationally known Gabe Catanzaro. Originally the bass player in black metal outfit Occursed, Gabe over night switched to electronic music. Through his association with Milwaukee born Mark Verbos, Gabe traveled from analog synthesizer experimentation through techno all the way to the Italo Disco and retro dance pop he is releasing currently. A master of huge synth riffs and fantasticly naive arrangement, his music is completely unaffected by trendy influence. His releases have appeared in the boxes of DJ Hell, Miss Kitten, Savas Pascalidis, John Selway and others.
