An Taisdeal (pron.: An Tahshdel - Scottish Gaelic for "the journey") is a Celtic Folk duo from near Heidelberg. Originally located in Velbert, Rüdiger Reinhardt founded the project in 2002 together with Annika Molitor on the fiddle. It was put on ice, though, as due to the fact that Rüdiger moved to Baden-Wuerttemberg in 2005, playing together in the original line-up was no longer possible. Currently, Rüdiger Reinhardt and Tina Appel are reviving the name "An Taisdeal" again, starting the "journey" for a new. Until March 2008 the line-up consisted of the two above mentioned musicians, each playing guitar and bodhrán as required, and both doing vocals. Since then Michelle Menzel supports the band with harp and vocals. An extension of the line-up would come in handy - so if coincidentally someone from the Heidelberg area feels like supporting the duo with fiddle, whistles, or accordion, he or she is encouraged to drop them a line.
