The Wyld Olde Souls are a psychedelic folk band from New York City featuring ethereal vocals and ancient vibes. With influences ranging from 12th century courtly love songs to Jefferson Airplane to Fairport Convention to Loreena McKennitt, The Wyld Olde Souls have created an other-worldly sound that’s all their own, linking the music of the past with the music of tomorrow (or the day after that). 10 years in the making, the group are about to release their highly anticipated, full-length CD 'Ensoulment', in Spring 2011. Their debut, a six-song CD 'Poems from the Astral Plane' (on Parallel World, 2000) received international and national airplay on numerous radio stations and earned the band finalist status in the 2000 Just Plain Folks Music Awards (New Age category). The CD received an endorsement by Tom Rapp, the founder of legendary late '60s psychedelic folk band, ESP-Disk recording artists Pearls Before Swine, who said, “This record has strong images, some scary percussion, and sounds that range from whispers to windchimes. It's good to see that someone is still exploring folk and psychedelia and doing it so well.” The Wyld Olde Souls have appeared on two compilations to date: Electric Psychedelic Sitar Headswirlers Vol. 5 (Purple Lantern) 'The Sun God' and Pull Up the Paisley Covers: A Psychedelic Omnibus (Aether Records) 'High Flyin' Bird.' They have been called "mysterious," "bewitching," "classy," "magical," and "transcendent." The Wyld Olde Souls are Ivy Val
