Drawing upon traditional Sudanese chants, vocal styles and rhythmic patterns coupled with the ability to sing in English, Arabic & Italian, Amira is a truly diverse vocalist with a captivating and powerful sound, whether performing her original music or reinterpreting old spirituals and jazz classics. Amira will be making her debut appearance at the 2009 London Jazz Festival in association with BBC Radio 3 on Sunday 15th November as part of Arun Ghosh's Magical Musical Merry-Go-Round Part II: Vocal Chord.
