Amateur Night in Dixie is a math rock/emo band that started in late 2025, out of Jacksonville, Florida. The band’s lineup has gone through a fair bit of changes so far, but the original members were Kainen Medford on Guitar/Vocals, William Maule on Guitar/Vocals, Dash Howell on Drums, and Vincent (last name unknown) on Bass Guitar. Their first single was announced on 19th of January 2026, originally slated to have dropped on the 26th but instead released a day later due to a mistake with their distributor. The lineup has evolved now, with Vincent taking a social media role for the band, swapping off of Bass Guitar in substitute for Keyboard. Two new members joined in February in Archer Pace on Bass Guitar (replacing Vincent’s old role) and Finley Barnes on Guitar. Their first ever show was announced for May 16th, 2026 at Traphouse Chicken in Jacksonville, Florida. Other bands on the bill include; Gamma Jets, Fort Caroline, The Dizzy Bimbos, and Redeyesblackdragon.
