Allie Lauren formed in 2011 and is the recording project of singer/songwriter Lauren (pronunciation: lʌ-'rɪn) Nicole Clare. Lauren (born Lauren Nicole Stewart on November 21, 1983) is a classically trained vocalist holding a masters degree in vocal performance from Oklahoma City University. Lauren also began classical studies in piano at an early age, studying with Dr. Gayle Kowalchyk. Her sound is generally referred to as jazz influenced indie pop. Some of her influences include Fiona Apple, Lykke Li, Corinne Bailey Rae, Florence + the Machine and Norah Jones. The debut album, Tales of a Glass Heart, was released on October 17, 2012 by HALbird Records. Lately, the first single, was released in May 2012. The album was co-produced by Lauren and Chris Freels of The Music Group Studios.
