Artist
Alcohol Ukulele is the Kharkiv based ukulele blues and bluegrass band, who performs fusion musical acts based on 1930's and 1940's American music, Ukrainian pop of 1970's and local (global?) social problems. They play music for those who know blues superiority over corruption, ignorance and intolerance. Four ukuleles, banjoline, washtub bass and flute – after all, Alcohol Ukulele is the music for everyone. Founded in 2016, for the next two years the band played around 100 gigs all over Ukraine and recorded "Seven deadly pints" album, which has to be released in November 2018. Except gigs, the band provides workshops of making musical instruments like washtub basses, canjos, diddly-bows and cigarbox guitars and runs ukulele school. Yurek Yakubov - tenor and dobro ukulele, vocals Kirill Gonchar - ukulele, banjo, vocals Dima Yegorenkov - mandoline, banjoline, melodica Tatiana Sidorenko - soprano ukulele, vocals Anton Derbilov - bariton ukulele, chain Alexandra Ryabchikova - flute, vocals Alik Sheew - bass, vocals Igor Avdeev - drums User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
