Lюk ("Lyuk") were an electro-funk-lounge band from Kharkiv, Ukraine. Champions of eclectic sound, Lюk's music could be an ideal soundtrack for Sunday shopping on Mars and play in a humanoid supermarket that sells only balloons…They're a band of aliens taught Ukrainian. They write their lyrics in Ukrainian, French, Russian and English. This band employ all the variety of modern music, both electronic and live, to pull out what they really need and create a style that can truly be called their own. Successfully combining the best features of rock and lounge, Lюk are like nothing else in Russian or Ukrainian music. In the original style of the group, you could find hints at various music cultures, from hip-hop to acid-jazz, but while listening to this wonderful easy cocktail stylistic components are what you want to discern the least. It is widely accepted that the Ukrainian language is very melodious (as compared to Russian). Lюk take full advantage of it, yet if they wish to perform a song in equally melodious French or in Russian, which general audience understands more easily, the results turn out to be none the worse.
