Brazilian singer, Alcides Gerardi (João Alcides Gerardi - May 15, 1918 - Marc 1th, 1978) was born in Porto Alegre/RS, but still child moved for Rio De Janeiro. In 1939, participated of the group Namorados da Lua as vocalist. First commercial record was launched by the Odeon in 1946. Hits: "Antonico" (Ismael Silva), "Brotinho Maluco" (Aníbal Cruz), "Cabecinha no Ombro" (Paulo Borges), "Saudades do Passado", "Você Pensa", "Só Resta Lágrima", "Castelo de Areia" (Geraldo Jacques, Isaías Freitas & Meirinha), "E Eu Sem Maria" (Dorival Caymmi & Alcyr Pires Vermelho). Alcides died for decurrent complications of an car accident, when it came back of a show for the Via Dutra.
