Ahmad Ashoorpour,musician and vocalist was born in Bandar-e-Anzali, Gilan, in 1920. He was also an agricultural engineer. He managed to combine folk music of Gilan with classical music to create delicate fascinating songs. He composed more than 60 songs and I am so upset because I used past tense in order to write about great Ashoorpour. He died in 2008 in Tehran. He and his songs are eternal.
