Adrian Adioetomo was born in 1973 in Indonesia and moved to Australia in 1991. There, his musical orientation shifts towards blues-based music. Fascinated by the sounds of resonator guitars in “Living With The Law”, the first album by late great singer-songwriter Chris Whitley, Adrian was inspired to play the same instrument. In 1997 he went back to Indonesia. He would play at high-school parties, university gigs, lunch-hours and even open-mic nights at cafes to introduce his music. “Delta Indonesia” is Adrian’s first album truly dedicated to carry the spirit of early blues in the appropriate style. He created this album to pay his dues to the music that started it all and to the instrument that helped shape his career in the first place. Adrian already has plans for his next musical endeavors, exploring different themes and subjects, as well as the possibility of other kinds of fretted instruments.
