Ace of Thorns was a project by Canadian artist Alex Murphy (under Azalea Murphy during it's run), inspired by the likes of Alice in Chains & black midi. It followed her prior name Ace of Spades (Punk), which changed in order to A) move on from the releases and general air of the name, & B) to have a name that wouldn't immediately show up with Motorhead in a searchbar. By the end of its run, she put out 5 albums, 4 EPs (one split), and a multitude of b-side comps, one-off singles, and other various releases.
