Few is known from this band. Formed in 2006, Abyssmal Sorrow are a funeral doom/black metal band from Australia. Their theme is based on death, suicide, depression and misery. The band released two albums before they split in 2010. The first of which was a self-titled EP Abyssmal Sorrow in late 2007, and the second a full album entitled Lament in February 2008. Using natural sounds effect such as rain and thunder in their music, makes you feel sad. The music is deep, heavy, hypnotic, cutting, dissonant and distant: heavy soundscapes to end all hopes.
