Tearing down the own musical borders is most probably the only consistent thread in the history of this experimental indie rock band from Germany. In 2010, after a change in their Band-Line Up (vocals are now done by drummer hell g.), they released their fresh and catchy album "Interference” , which mainly focuses on songs. The sound from their concept album “Cthulhu” (released 2011) is exactly the opposite. 7 Days Awake's sound definition is about the balance between creation and destruction of structures. The tracks on "Cthulhu" are both: catchy-atmospheric and/or intensively brute, and at the same time always a bit weird, startling and filled with deep love for extended instrumental parts. In 2013 they released their 6th album "Sleepwalk", which is (like the name suggests) a trippy experience on the border between lucid dreams and deep hallucinations. the overall flow of "Sleepwalk" is smooth and laid back, starting with the deep and groovy 70s-psychedelic-laden song "Circuits" and ending with the epic 32minutes long piece of fictional soundtrack "Everybody online?". In 2019 they got featured on the Tribute CD-Compilation to 80s german underground legends "The Multicoloured Shades" named "A Tribute To The Multicoloured Shades" with a coverversion of their song "Hearbeat".
