Yun Duo (雲朵), (born Xie Chunfang (谢春芳) on February 7, 1987, in Sichuan, China) a Chinese singer of the Qiang ethnic group, Sichuan province. She has achieved her dream of becoming a professional singer by releasing her first album Clouds in 2011 and signing a contract with Universal Music China, in Beijing. Singer-songwriter Dao Lang (刀郎), who was impressed by Yun’s vocal range and clear voice, discovered her in Beijing when she was working as a waitress. Yun started learning singing in 2004. She was not formally trained, but her mother is an accomplished singer. Yun made a song in 2008 about Sichuan earthquake. For her first album Clouds, she retains her original singing style, born of the mountains, where singing and dancing are an important part of people’s daily lives. “倔强”(Stubborn) is one of her popular songs, from her second album with the same name, released in May, 2013. Yun Duo had a concert performing the songs in the album in Beijing. She also won an award in Chinese Golden Melody Awards 2013 with her song “牧羊人”(Shepherd).
