The name [a]lliot (pronounced Elliot) came about due to the fantastic spelling capabilities of a certain well-known coffee chain. Elliot (also known as Kwabena) himself is a transgender man from Ghana and the UK who has been playing the piano since the age of 6, self-learned the guitar at 12, and started singing since he could talk. His influences include Hayley Heynderickx, Arlo Parks, Nat King Cole, Daughter, Amber Run, Adam Melchor, The Paper Kites, Keaton Henson, Fenne Lily, M.A.G.S., Samia, Sleeping At Last, and more. He is currently working on folk and alternative sounds and trying his best to get anything done.
