The Orion Lion is the creative expression of Joseph Burton, 25 years old. He is currently at port in West Hollywood, CA. In a future garage style production, all of his music is written and recorded in his apartment studio. What do you get? Essentially a cross between M83/Death Cab For Cutie/The Notwist/Nine Inch Nails/and Imogen Heap. He established his cinematic and dreamy-pop sound over years of playing in bands and learning about music production in Las Vegas, NV. After the breaking up of multiple music groups and in the difficult terrain of finding others with the same passion for music, Joseph set out to make it alone. Joseph formed a one man band and, in 2007, moved to Nashville TN. His positive and philosophical musical themes are the result of his experience there. Nashville offered him drastically changing seasons, expansive trees, vast skies, and spiritually mature peers. His time there sharpened his knowledge about the music industry, developed his ability as a producer, and provided a fruitful nest for his discovery of what he wanted to say.
