"I believe in a universe that doesn't care and people who do." - Angus Delaney The sophomore Starving Narcissist release, We Sapient Stardust is an album rooted in trying to find an anchor to stabilize yourself with in a rapidly shifting, entropic present. It’s filled with loving and losing, loneliness and escapism, hope and hopelessness, god and the universe, friendship and stars, and how there probably isn’t anything after this. It featured two singles Limbic System's Rag Doll and Sleepless Friends, and was followed by the semi connected and relevant post album single MAL DU PAYS (Monophobia). We Sapient Stardust also acts as the thematic successor and sister album to 2023's And That Means Everything, with many songs on We Sapient Stardust acting as direct (mostly intentional) parallels to those of its predecessor (most notably Mayday!! and (No One Wants To End On) A Sad Song).
