'We Fall Down' is an acoustic guitar track that tells the personal story of a rise before the fall, through its power vocals, crisp harmonies and vivid imagery. Originally composed for piano and inspired by the early works of Bon Iver, Gabrielle Aplin and BANKS, the piece was later rearranged as an acoustic guitar track, more reminiscent of Alexander’s musical styles. Lyrically, the song flits between painting the artist's unconventional way of living by not meeting social norms, and also remarking on the fleeting nature of life.
