Top Shotta is the highly anticipated debut studio album from Memphis rapper NLE Choppa. On July 19, 2019, Choppa released a promotional single, which was the third installment of his “Shotta Flow” series. On September 13, 2019, Choppa released another promotional single, “Camelot”. The single was then certified platnium by the RIAA 10 months after the single’s release. On March 19, 2020, Choppa released the expected lead single for the album, “Walk Em Down”, featuring Compton rapper Roddy Ricch. On June 12, 2020, Choppa released the fifth installment of the “Shotta Flow” series. The reason why it wasn’t the fourth installment it’s because the fourth installment was still unreleased. On July 30, 2020, Choppa released another single, “Narrow Road”, featuring Atlanta rapper Lil Baby. The day Choppa released “Narrow Road”, he announced in a tweet the album release date along with the album cover. Five days after the album was announced, Choppa revealed the tracklist in a tweet.
