Cottonwood is the debut EP by NLE Choppa, released on December 20, 2019. Choppa talked about an EP in an interview with Uproxx on October 30, 2019, stating that he would possibly drop it on November 1. However, the song “Forever” was released on that date. He confirmed the EP’s release in an Instagram post to be December 13, 2019, but it was pushed back to December 20, 2019. One single from the EP was released: “Side,” on December 13, 2019, the EP’s original release date. Cottonwood debuted at #57 on the Billboard 200 during the chart week of January 5th, 2020 after selling approximately 17,000 copies.
