It's pretty safe to say that The Electrics are the only Celtic/punk/blues/folk/rock hybrid band currently singned to a US-Based CCM-Label. Their music is fun, serious, raw, exciting, and spontaneous -- in short it's NOT market-driven, demographically skewed or chart-savvy. And that's what makes it so good! The Electrics were formed a decade ago, but the band's nucleus -- Sammy Horner (bass/lead vocals/chief songwriter), Davie McArthur (drums/percussion) and Paul Baird (guitar/vocals)--has its roots in a friendship that dates back 15 years. Sammy recalls how the friendship became a musical partnership. "Paul and I had previously played in a band together. When that group ended, we had written about six songs with a Celtic thread running through them. We hired Davie to drum for our first festival gig and a guy called Allan Hewitt to play keys and sax, and that line-up lasted for six years!"
