5 Minute Walk/Sara Bellum Records, one of America's best indies, have finally introduced The Great American Public, once seemingly deaf to all the myriad of British grassroots CCM talent, to The Electrics, who since Word's release of 'Vision And Dreams' back in 1991 have been exploring a rich musical seam by fusing rollicking jigs and reels of Celtic folk music to good ol' rock 'n' roll. In Sammy Horner they have of course one of the wittiest yet insightful communicators in Christendom and the honorary Scotsman (Sammy is, of course, Belfast-born) takes us here on an exuberant romp through many of the glorious moments of the band's three previous albums. For this is in a sense a 'Best of.' with the classics ("Back Of Your Head", "The Blessing", etc) re-recorded with zing and zip. The new versions are great too. We've long loved 'em, now our US cousins can shake a leg too. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
