The Loose" | Single 2009 by tinef | music by david dwier & tinef | words by david dwier | recorded by david dwier @ ds-tontechnik.de | mixed by Daniel Bär, mastered by Daniel Bär & tinef | artwork by david dwier | Stefan played a Mapex M-series birch kit with Masterworks cymbals. The bassdrum was recorded using an AKG C414 aproximately one meter in front of the kickdrum. For the Sonor Snare we used a very cheap Samson bottom mic. Toms were recorded with SENNHEISER MD421. Overheadmicrophones were AKG C451 with true stereo setup. For recording Milan's Bass guitar, we used an Gallien Krüger amplifier with Direct Out straight into the RME Fireface. He played an Warwick Corvette sump ash bass guitar. David used an AKG C414 microphone for the vocal recordings. The vocals were slightly compressed and equalized and some additional Reverb was added. David played an Epiphone SG400 guitar over an Laney AOR 100 Series amplifier with a 4x12" crate cabinet. Recording microphones were SENNHEISER MD421, MD441 and Shure Nugget. Daniel Bär did the mixing stuff for the loose, using cubase 5 sequencing software. After the final steps of mixing, no additional summing effects were applied. The Mix was send to an old philips quarter inch tape machine with 6db input overdrive. Afterwards it was recorded back into the sequencer and left off with no additional effects for having a more analogue and vintage sound.
