Album
The Long Goodbye is the solo debut album of Wayne Jackson and will be released on August 15th 2008 by Spy Satellite/Columbia. All songs were produced by Wayne Jackson and Michael Ilbert (producer of Roxette, Aha....) Most of the recording was done in the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin, using lots of the old equipment which appeared on David Bowie's Berlin trilogy of albums. The piano used on Shine On is the very same one which can be heard on Bowie's Heroes. The first single from the album is Glorious, which Wayne Jackson co-wrote with Paul van Dyk. It is the original track which Van Dyk re-worked and turned into Stormy Skies. Glorious had been chosen by Germany’s largest TV station RTL to feature in their Pfingsten film campaign. Track listing: 1. There Must Be Something 2. There Will Be No 3. The Storm 4. Glorious 5. Shine On 6. Radar 7. Tell Me 8. The Only One 9. Wake Up Baby 10. Hang On 11. Everything Is Beautiful 12.
