Broken Down Lorry's third album 'The Circus' saw Johny Nocash reunited with erstwhile Echolalia bassist Jacques Cachecarte. The pair attempted to record the sort of album Echolalia had never managed to, with considered production and arrangement bringing the most out of the songs included herein. Video were made for several of the tracks, including a re-recording of 'Death Of A Pigeon', a track upon which ornithologist Bill Oddie declined to comment. 'Any Good Ideas' and 'Judas In Blue Jeans' were also treated to videos, whilst album-closer 'Monty (What Have You Done)' would subsequently re-appear as a b-side to the single 'Where The Sun Doesn't Shine'.
