Remnants is the debut album from Tring-based contemporary classic progressive rock band Self Diagnosis. The album was recorded in July and August 2007, and was released in CD format on September 8th 2007. All tracks on the album are available for free download, and the album art can be found at http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/174s/6017252.jpg The album features ten tracks, eight of which were initially intended to feature on a two-disc rock opera entitled The Archive. The plot of this rock opera was based on a future where rock music has been banned, and chronicles the efforts of Kit Marshall and his band, Incognito, as they attempt to rebel against the oppressive government and bring classic rock back to the masses. When The Archive could not be completed due to time constraints, the strongest tracks were recorded and grouped into a non-concept album. The name 'Remnants' is inspired by these songs, which are all 'remnants' of The Archive project. Additional material exists in the form of Lore Finding, an acoustic love song written during the recording sessions, and Hall Of The Mountain King, a rock arrangement of Edvard Grieg's composition inspired by The Who. The physical CD release of Remnants featured the ten aforementioned album tracks, along with three bonus tracks. One of these bonus tracks, Kit, remains available on the online release. The album can be streamed in entirety on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; ad
