From Brooklyn, NY based musician Jesse Statman comes a full-length album of home-recorded lo-fi rock songs featuring elements of jazz, punk, metal, and experimental music. Songs vary in style, from the title track with its fast, punk-like sound, to "Hawaii" which features an atonal solo played on a homemade instrument called "the band box", to the dark refrain of "Forbidden Blues" sung in falsetto, to the quick slap guitar line of "Mystery Trusts Me", and the final track, "Campaigning", which is an ode to Statman's early instrumental recordings from 2009. This album was recorded over a six-day period in November 2011 in Statman's home studio. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
