The earliest recordings of Engine Kid, originally released by Battery Records on 7” vinyl in 1992. Re-released and re-mastered in 2020 by Southern Lord Records. The only Engine Kid release to feature original bassist Art Behrman. "1/4 Mile Thunder" (or "Quarter Mile Thunder") was later re-recorded for the band's debut album Bear Catching Fish and "The Needle" (a cover of Neil Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done") was re-recorded for their next release Astronaut.
