Album
Engine Kid's earliest EP, first major release and the first Engine Kid release with new bassist Brain Kraft. The EP was recorded by John Goodmanson and released in 1993 by C/Z Records. Remastered and remixed for re-release in 2020. "Treasure Chest" was later re-recorded for the band's debut album Bear Catching Fish. The closing track, "The Needle" (a cover of Neil Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done") was first heard on Novocaine. This version includes an extra 3 minute coda of feedback, a large section of silence and then finishes the album with an unlisted hidden track - which could best be described as abstract noise. These versions of the tracks "Treasure Chest" and "Furnace" are also occasionally known by the inelegant full titles of "Treasure Chest, The Liver Is (The Cock's Comb)" and "Furnace, If I Were Your Mother I'd Kill You (I'm Insane)" respectively.
