Following the departure of founding bassist Robby Angelotti and the entrance of Daniel Suarez, the band began working on their sophomore LP in Jacob Keplinger and Justin Siegel's townhouse. They built a studio inside and recorded the entire album themselves. According to Keplinger, nearly 150 songs were written for this project and "the album took about 3 or 4 forms prior to the one that was released." The first single, "Alcohol," was released globally on January 5, 2018, and was followed by the first of many music videos directed by Trevor Wright, who became a close friend of the band's through this album process. The second single and video- "Body"- arrived on March 9, 2018, and that song, along with 'Alcohol,' spread like wildfire throughout their region. The band gained its most credibility via the music video for the third single "Now and Then", which was the last video prior to the album's release. The band released their self-titled sophomore album on May 11, 2018, via Pink Hat Records. Along with the release came the announcement that Daniel Suarez and founding guitarist Nick Cheater had left the group.
