Album
Love Is War is the fourth studio album by the Estonian all-girl band Vanilla Ninja. The album was their first as a three-piece band as well as the first on the EMI-owned Capitol Records label, after they split from their previous label, Bros Records (owned by Sony). Their split from Bros Records was less than glorious, due to the actions of their producer, David Brandes. It was found out that he was buying the albums and singles of his artists in bulk to manipulate their chart positions. The album is the first to feature songs written by members of the band, making it more personal to them. The sound of the album is lighter than the two previous albums, Traces of Sadness and Blue Tattoo, but still features some of the hard rock-infused pop sounds from those albums as well as lighter ballads and more pop-sounding songs . Three singles were released from the album, "Dangerzone", "Rockstarz", and "Insane In Vain". Music videos were made for "Dangerzone" and "Rockstarz". The album was another chart-topping success for the band in their native Estonia. It also did well on the charts in Switzerland, Germany, Poland, and Austria.
