From the limited edition print- The songwriting and recording process for Cloud Cult is a little different than most other bands. Lead singer/songwriter Craig Minowa, has been known to be a bit of a hermit. In the seclusion of the recording studio in the basement of his farmhouse in Northern Minnesota, Craig has written and records the bulk of Cloud Cult almums to date. Craig writes and records all of the instrumentation you here here. He makes those selected songs into what he calls a "draft album" and he sends that to the band members and close friends who then vote on their favorite songs. Craig takes that feedback and decided which songs to set aside and which ones to continue working on. Most of the songs on this album are song in their original "draft" version that Craig created on his own in the studio and sent out for feedback. For one or another, these songs, with the exception of track 1, never went into the next phase of the Cloud Cult album creations process, which is when other musicians are brought into the studio. What you hear is 100% draft and 100% Minowa. Further notes about each song are also noted on the inside cover of this album edition.
