Juturna is the first album by the American rock band, Circa Survive. It was released on April 19, 2005, through Equal Vision Records and reached #183 on the Billboard 200 on May 7, 2005. Up to July 19, 2006, it had sold 74,896 copies. Juturna is the Roman goddess of fountains, wells and springs. It was taken as the album title to symbolize a new beginning for the band members. It was originally the title of an unreleased song from an early demo of The Great Golden Baby. The album artwork is by Esao Andrews. Several songs on the album were inspired by the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Oh, Hello and In Fear and Faith detail scenes from the film. Wish Resign refers to a line from Eloisa to Abelard, a poem by Alexander Pope, from which the movie was named. Meet Me in Montauk is also a reference to a line from the movie. The Glorious Nosebleed is a short story by Edward Gorey. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
