Ivete Sangalo is the debut album by Brazilian singer Ivete Sangalo, released on July 30, 1999 by Universal Music. On the album, Ivete, recently released by Banda Eva, invested in different rhythms such as maracatu, samba-reggae, pop, in addition to axé music. Carlinhos Brown, Luiz Caldas, João Bosco and Herbert Vianna are part of the team of composers, in addition to Sangalo himself signing the songs "Canibal" and "Medo de Amar", the last of which is a duet with Ed Motta, The album it also features re-recordings of the songs "Bota Pra Ferver" (re-recording by the band Asa de Águia) and "Sá Marina" (success by Antônio Adolfo and Tibério Gaspar), which caused controversy with Elza Soares.
