Indian Firemen Fault One is the culmination of a grueling 17-year international tour with Kenny Loggins and Lionel Richie. Drawing his inspiration from Loggins' backstage antics (including an unusual habit of chewing velvet), Gary Portrait spent 400 straight hours in the studio recording this widely coveted and beloved-to-all album. "It's a thankless job," said Portrait, half-jokingly and obviously impressed with his accomplishment. "Lord knows Kenny Loggins ain't thankin' me," he went on to say, showing signs of intense, restrained hatred, with a little chuckle that thoroughly confused the person he was talking to. "I just... can't seem... to express...( inaudible murmur)," he said, trailing off as he began hugging himself and making a face like a content piglet.
