about this album

Goatcraft Torment is the fifth album by the Norwegian band Urgehal . On Goatcraft Torment, the band stuck to their simple, traditional, Nordic black metal with appropriately Satanic- oriented lyrics. The lyrics also deal with themes such as rape, murder, and necrophilia . As on their previous releases, their style is not particularly original. The music is aggressive and based on thrash metal influences, groove -heavy riffs in the style of Craft , and single minor chords. The album has also been described as "at the intersection of unfiltered raw black 'n roll, the usual understated norsecore, and (surprisingly) fast-paced references to the current Marduk era." [Besides these bands, the band has been compared to Immortal , Mayhem , and Carpathian Forest , and Gathered Under the Horns has also been compared to Venom's At War with Satan .
