GAIA (also known as General Artificial Intelligence Assistant) is the fourth studio album by Canadian musician and producer Blank Banshee. It was released via Bandcamp on November 30th, 2020. On January 1st 2020, Blank Banshee has confirmed on Twitter that a new album will be released this year following the extended single Metamorphosis released in 2019. On June 2020, Blank Banshee's official website sees a major update, along with a hidden webpage called /47414941 ("GAIA" in hexadecimal). Around the same time, a mysterious Twitter account that Blank Banshee followed has been associated with the new page, dubbed Project___GAIA. On October 20th 2020, Blank Banshee posts a short promotional 3D animation on Twitter, revealing the artwork of the new album, as well as featuring a track called Memorization which has been later added to the ongoing compilation MissingNos. Along with the 3D animation, /47414941 webpage on Blank Banshee's website has been replaced with /gaia which showcased a loading bar accompanied with the following text: LOADING GAIA // This may take some time. The loading bar has been updated at different time intervals until November 28th, when Blank Banshee has revealed the release date of his new album on Twitter to be November 30th.
