'4D' is the fifth studio album by Canadian artist and producer Blank Banshee. It was released for free via Bandcamp on August 20th, 2023. Driscoll first teased the new project June 15 2023 via a new website update, showing a glowing animation of a purple circus tent, for which later an audio segment - which simulated the sound coming from inside the tent - has been added. On July 1st 2023, the website has been updated again, with the tent being visually "opened". Clicking on the tent entrance redirected users to a new webpage blankbanshee.com/4d (now https://www.blankbanshee.com/4-d). There was a crystal ball animation accompanied by an extended version of the audio segment from the homepage - it was revealed to be called "Time Thief". A 30-day countdown is found underneath, targeting August 1st, 8:00AM PST. An automated toll-free phone number is posted by Driscoll on social media, that played additional snippets when dialed. During July 2023, Driscoll posted on his official Instagram account several photos that, shortly later, revealed to be pieces of a puzzle. The pieces have been posted randomly, each having their corresponding positions written in the descriptions. Users could have completed the puzzle on their own, or watch the evolution of it on a new webpage blankbanshee.com/4d/letsdoapuzzle (now deprecated).
