From here to Eternity is a compilation of instrumentals written by Dominic Ward, which are taken from several of Maeran's albumns. The compositions draw on a variety of instruments and mostly reflect a traditional style of music that would have been prevalent in bygone eras of British history. There are elements of Brittanic and Celtic style in a number of the tracks and several of the works reflect the type of music made popular by the Chieftans and other traditional bands. The beauty of these however, is that they are all original and reflect the diversity and expertise of Dominic Ward in creating a unique and attractive instrumental which is coloured with charm and imagery not found that often in modern work. This albumn is a fascinating insight into an historical style of music and the interpretation of it by a highly gifted modern composer.
