Fallow was completed in the Summer of 2010 in Berlin. To listen through the entire album with headphones is meant to recreate or approximate the feeling of being in a field in the countryside of southern Ontario in late July, complete with chirping cicadas, hidden crickets and grass snakes. There's nothing to do, and nowhere to be. Judging by the red-winged blackbird, there's probably a marsh nearby.
