The fourth album in the series of collections that features a variety of compositions, presented in the order that they were created. Fairy Wings are supposedly made from gossamer material that is extremely light and give the fairies the ability to be exceptionally agile but also very gentle in their movement from place to place. It is my hope this feeling carries through within at least some of the music presented here. Real instruments are often mixed with fantasy and synthetic sounds providing comfort in the familiarity of the real whilst taking you on a mystery tour through new and possibly unfamiliar territory with a myriad of sensory delights. Effects such as reverb, echo, delay, sweeping filters and a vocoder or two are used as musically creative parts within the compositions along with constant movement of instrumental phrases floating in every direction. Created by Clive at his home in exotic Bali, the influence of South East Asia and the relaxing beauty of his home island are apparent in many of these musical creations adding a further dimension to his western upbringing and 30 year musical journey. The exotic and imaginary are interspersed with musical quotes and sonic references to many other styles including dance, funk, hip hop and R & B and jazz.
